Chant from New Skete 50th Anniversary - 2 CDs

This collection celebrates fifty years of monastic chant at New Skete. Some of the recordings were previously published and others have never been available before now. The music includes highlights from Vespers and Matins as well as a number of feast day hymns and music from divine liturgies of St. John Chrysostom, St. James of Jerusalem and the Presanctified Gifts. The collection is organized chronologically, beginning with the earliest recording released in 1972 and ending with a series of recordings made by the Monks in 2013. We hope you enjoy this cavalcade of chant, marking the musical and spiritual journey of the communities over these past five decades.
